The Municipal Government of Guiuan signed a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with Action for Economic Reforms (AER) on July 7, 2021, for the implementation of Data-Driven Development in the Philippines Project, also known as PH3D.
Under the MOA, AER shall provide support to related Disaster and Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) efforts in terms of providing technical assistance through capacity building and policy recommendation. In particular, the partnership aims to enhance the LGU’s DRRM plan through the application of a data-driven approach.
Guiuan Mayor Annaliza Gonzalez-Kwan expressed her gratitude for this agreement as she believes that this partnership would greatly benefit the LGU and its constituents.
“I am so thankful to AER for including Guiuan in their program. This is very timely for the Local Government of Guiuan because right now, we are updating our Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP), our Comprehensive Development Plan (CDP), our Climate and Disaster Risk Assessment (CDRA), and data are really very important”, said Mayor Gonzalez-Kwan.
PH3D is a two-year project that ends on December 30, 2022 and is co-funded by the European Union.
